SUPERFICIAL MYOFIBROBLASTOMA OF THE GENITAL TRACT : A CASE REPORT OF VAGINAL SMFGT

Superficial myofibroblastoma of the lower female genital tract is a rare benign, recently recognized neoplasm that mostly affects vulvovaginal area. In this paper we reported case 47years old lady who had 3-Normal vaginal deliveries , she presented with complain dysuria difficult micturition abdominal pain, heaviness in vagina and discharges. Vaginal examination showed well demarcated smooth mass measuring about 7cm x3cm. Transvaginal ultrasound was performed which -defined isoechoic solid lesion heterogenous echo pattern occupied upper portion anterior wall. Magnetic resonance imaging described as defined at level wall 3.1APX4.5TVX3.3CC cm. The removed per route histopathologically, tumor characterized by nodular stromal spindle cell lesion, partly encapsulated myxoid degeneration prominent vascular network. No necrosis seen .No significant mitotic activity indentified. findings were consistent superficail myofibroblastoma. Immunohistochemistry stain carried out positive for CD34, Desmin Vimentin weakly ER.
